From the beginning, the Church of the Nazarene has been firmly committed to promoting evangelism, missions and Christian education through our Sunday School programs. This has not changed. The Zelienople Church of the Nazarene still holds true to that commitment. We still believe that it is through Sunday School that the Church has the unique opportunity to reach and teach people of all ages and from all walks of life about Christ.

Our Sunday School programs are tailored to all ages, from the very young to the adult. Our programs include those who are infant, pre-school, elementary and teens. We believe that through our children's programs we can teach children basic Christian beliefs, so important in developing moral behavior and faith in Jesus Christ.

Sunday School is not only for children, but also for adults. For our adult students, we have developed a unique curriculum where the learner may chose the class right for them. Chose from topics that suit your needs and interests. We offer two adult classes. These classes are open to adults of all ages and on topics which affect daily lives. By opening these classes to adults of all ages, our younger members keep the older member current to today's concerns while the older participants can share their wisdom and life-experience that some of the younger participants are encountering in their attempts for a closer walk with Jesus.

We also know how difficult it can be to get moving in the morning, se we even try to help with breakfast. Before the beginning of class we provide pastries, orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. This time provides a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another and promote growth in fellowship.

Our doors open at 9:30 AM. Breakfast is from 9:45 till 10 AM when classes begin, and feel free to bring that doughnut and coffee with you to class. So, whether you are young or young at heart, the Zelienople Church of the Nazarene has a class just right for you.

This quarter’s lesson is Trusting God: Even When Life Hurts. “In an effort to strengthen his trust in God during a time of adversity, [author] Jerry Bridges began a lengthy Bible study on the topic of God’s sovereignty. What he learned changed his life, and he now shares the fruit of that study with [us] in Trusting God.” If you have questions, please contact me.

May God bless you and your family.

Sincerely,
Brian C. Harter,
Sunday School Superintendent
