Mission Statement of
The Zelienople Church of the Nazarene
February, 2003
Our Mission Statement represents our commitment to:
- Biblical Instruction: We are not ashamed
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although it is in seemingly
far too short a supply these days, we are committed to
the clear, relevant teaching of God's Word. It is the
power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
- Our Culture and People: God has forged
in us a hardworking, humble people committed to serving
Him. We will continue to be prayerful, loving, kind and
compassionate.
- Fellowship: The world has grown a lonely
place, but we offer acceptance, friendship and belonging
in our extended, spiritual family.
- Worship: Man was created to worship
God. Worship will continue to be our greatest service
to Him, impacting every area of our lives.
- Innovation: Although He never changes,
God is always doing something new. We are excited at the
adventure as He leads us into the future.
- Family Support: We are resolved to
do all that God enables us to support the institution
of the family and all of its members, particularly the
elderly and youth.
- Youth: It has been said that ninety
percent of those who will accept Christ as Lord and Savior
will do so before the age of twenty-one.
